FAQ
Real questions, real answers.
01
What Gennovate AI does
- Gennovate AI builds custom AI-powered applications, modernises existing websites by integrating AI capabilities, and provides hands-on AI consulting to help businesses identify and implement the right AI solutions. Every engagement starts with understanding the specific problem, nothing is off-the-shelf.
- Gennovate AI does not sell prebuilt or packaged software. Every solution is scoped, designed, and built around the client's specific business problem. The process begins with discovery, understanding workflows, pain points and goals, before any development begins.
- Gennovate AI operates as both. Clients can engage for strategic AI consulting, identifying where AI creates the most value or for full end-to-end development of AI applications and AI-enhanced websites. Many clients begin with a consulting conversation and move into a build.
- Gennovate AI is founder-led. Every client works directly with the founder, a certified AI practitioner with a background spanning across different sectors, including AI engineering, corporate sales, travel, finance and education. There is no account manager layer; the person you speak with is the person who builds.
02
Custom AI application development
- Gennovate AI builds a wide range of AI applications including lead qualification tools, document intelligence systems, AI voice agents that handle real customer calls, workflow automation platforms and AI search visibility tools that optimise how businesses appear in AI-generated search results. If a business process can be described, it can usually be automated or enhanced with AI.
- Yes. Gennovate AI specialises in building AI agents that connect systems, process data and execute multi-step workflows without human intervention. This includes integrations with CRMs, email platforms, databases and third-party APIs.
- Yes. Gennovate AI builds AI voice agents capable of handling inbound and outbound calls, qualifying leads, answering frequently asked questions and routing enquiries, operating 24/7 without human involvement. These are genuine conversational AI systems, not phone menus. Give us a call on the telephone number on our website to experience our AI receptionist.
- Timelines vary depending on complexity. A focused AI tool or automation can be live within two to four weeks. More complex multi-feature applications typically take six to twelve weeks. Gennovate AI works iteratively, clients see working software early and provide feedback throughout the build.
03
Website modernisation & AI integration
- Yes. Gennovate AI works with businesses that have existing websites built without AI in mind. This includes redesigning the site for modern performance standards, adding AI-powered features such as chatbots, lead capture or content personalisation and ensuring the site is structured for visibility in AI-generated search results.
- A standard website rebuild improves design, speed, and structure. An AI-powered website goes further, it can qualify visitors automatically, answer questions in real time, personalise content based on user behaviour and generate structured data that improves how the business is represented in AI search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.
- Gennovate AI implements Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) strategies, structuring website content, schema markup, FAQs, and entity data so that AI search engines can accurately understand and surface the business in generated answers. This is distinct from traditional SEO and increasingly critical as more searches return AI-generated responses rather than blue links.
04
AI consulting
- An AI consulting engagement typically begins with an audit of the business's current operations to identify where AI can reduce cost, save time or generate revenue. This is followed by a prioritised roadmap of AI initiatives, tool and vendor recommendations and where relevant, hands-on implementation support.
- AI consulting focuses on strategy, identifying the right AI applications for a business, evaluating options and planning implementation. AI development is the hands-on build: writing code, deploying infrastructure and delivering a working product. Gennovate AI offers both and many engagements combine the two.
- Both. Some clients benefit from a single focused session to validate an AI strategy or assess a specific tool. Others engage Gennovate AI on an ongoing basis as their AI implementation partner. Engagements are structured around what the business actually needs, not a fixed service model.
05
Pricing & ROI
- Pricing is scoped to the project and depends on complexity, timeline and the level of ongoing support required. Gennovate AI works with small and medium businesses and prices accordingly without the overhead of a large agency. An indicative range and clear proposal are provided after an initial discovery conversation.
- Most builds are priced as a fixed project fee. Ongoing support, maintenance, and iterative development are available on advanced fees structured according to the project. Some AI tools that involve ongoing infrastructure costs are structured with a usage-based component. The right structure is agreed upfront before any work begins.
- For automation and workflow tools, businesses typically see measurable time savings within the first month of deployment. Lead qualification and voice AI tools can show revenue impact within the first quarter. ROI depends on the use case. Gennovate AI discusses expected outcomes during scoping so clients have realistic expectations before committing.
06
Security, compliance & ownership
- Yes. All solutions built by Gennovate AI are designed with GDPR compliance in mind, including appropriate data handling, storage and processing practices. For clients operating under specific regulatory frameworks (UK GDPR, EU AI Act, NIS2), compliance requirements are factored into the design and build from the outset.
- The client owns the solution. On project completion, all code, data and infrastructure access is transferred to the client. Gennovate AI does not retain ownership of or access to anything built for a client unless an ongoing support arrangement is in place and explicitly agreed.
- Client data is handled with strict confidentiality. Development environments are isolated, access is limited to those directly working on the project and production deployments follow security best practices including encrypted storage, secure API handling and role-based access controls.
07
Working with Gennovate
- Gennovate AI is incorporated in the UK and works with clients locally and internationally. All client work is conducted remotely. There is no geographic restriction on who Gennovate AI works with.
- Gennovate AI combines genuine technical depth with commercial and educational experience. The founder builds the products, there is no outsourcing or junior delivery team. Every client gets direct access to the person who designed and coded their solution. This results in faster iteration, clearer communication and accountability that larger agencies rarely offer. With AI, one engineer produces the output of a five-person team without the overhead.
- The process follows four stages: discovery (understanding the problem and goals), scoping (defining what gets built, timeline, and cost), build (iterative development with regular client checkpoints) and deployment (live launch, handover, and optional ongoing support). Most clients go from first conversation to a scoped proposal within one week.
- Yes. Post-launch support is available as a monthly retainer covering bug fixes, performance monitoring, feature additions and AI model updates. Clients can also opt for a handover-only arrangement if they have internal technical capacity to manage the solution independently.
